Need versus a want

What does it mean to be inclusive? As we fight for disability rights, do we think about the children? How do we support the children in our community? Do we think only about a need versus a want when we think about being inclusive? Clear cut - a need is the ability to go into a restaurant with your seeing eye dog. Is playing on the ice a want? If you think about the right of a child to be part of her community, you may realize it is a need. We all need to feel we belong in our community and there’s room for all of us.
